Getting to Awake In Philly meetings is fairly easy. Driving directions are provided below from all directions into the city.

If you need more detailed information, you may want to try various mapping search engines, such as Yahoo. When using the mapping search engines, you will need to enter an address for the start of the trip, such as your street address, as well as the destination address, which would be the Northeast Regional Library, which is located at 2228 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.

With the information provided to the mapping search engines, maps and driving directions will be generated that you can print. It's always best to check the directions, or drive the suggested route, beforehand, if you are unfamiliar with the area.

From Center City

From the VINE ST. EXPRESSWAY, I-676, and US-30, go East to the DELAWARE EXPRESSWAY (I-95) North. Travel northeasterly for 4.6 miles and exit at the BRIDGE ST. exit. Bear right on ARAMINGO AVE. and go northeast for 0.3 miles, where you will intersect with HARBISON AVE. Head north on HARBISON AVE. for 1.9 miles. Turn right onto the ROOSEVELT BLVD (heading east) and travel 0.8 miles to COTTMAN AVE. Do not travel in the express (center) lanes. Turn left onto COTTMAN AVE. (PA-73) and go Northwest for approximately 1/2 mile. Just after crossing BUSTLETON AVE, make a right turn into the mall parking lot across from the Northeast Regional Library, located at 2228 COTTMAN AVE. It will be on the left (southwest) side of the street.

Take US-1 S/LINCOLN HWY until it becomes US-1 S/ROOSEVELT BLVD. Stay on ROOSEVELT BLVD until COTTMAN AVE/PA-73. Turn RIGHT (West) onto COTTMAN AVE/PA-73. Continue Northwest on COTTMAN AVE/PA-73 for approximately 1/2 mile. Just after crossing BUSTLETON AVE, make a right turn into the mall parking lot across from the Northeast Regional Library, located at 2228 COTTMAN AVE. It will be on the left (southwest) side of the street.

Take NJ-38 W to I-295 SOUTH ramp towards DELAWARE MEMORIAL BRIDGE. Merge onto I-295 S. Take exit number 36B, towards TACONY BRIDGE(RT-73 N). Turn LEFT onto NIXON DR. Turn RIGHT onto NJ-73 N/PALMYRA BRIDGE BLVD. Go onto TACONY PALMYRA BRIDGE/NJ-73. TACONY PALMYRA BRIDGE becomes LEVICK ST/US-13 S. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto HARBISON AVE. Turn RIGHT onto BUSTLETON AVE. Go about 1/4 mile and turn LEFT onto ST VINCENT ST. Turn RIGHT onto OAKLAND ST.

Start out going East on MARKET ST towards N 30TH ST. Turn LEFT onto SCHUYLKILL AVE/PA-3 W. Take the I-76 WEST/I-676 EAST ramp. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto VINE ST EXWY/I-676 E/US-30 E. Take the I-95 exit on the left towards TRENTON/CHESTER. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto I-95 N. Take the exit towards BRIDGE ST. Merge onto ARAMINGO AVE. ARAMINGO AVE becomes HARBISON AVE. Turn RIGHT onto BUSTLETON AVE. Go about 1/4 mile and turn LEFT onto ST VINCENT ST. Turn RIGHT onto OAKLAND ST.

From Northeast Philadelphia

SEPTA

The Northeast Regional Library is conveniently located on several SEPTA bus routes, as well as being conveniently located near a SEPTA train station.

For public transportation to the Northeast Regional Library, please call SEPTA at 215-580-7800 or visit the SEPTA website at http://www.septa.org/.

Both the 58 and the 70 buses serve the library. From the Market/Frankford line, travel to Bridge and Pratt Streets and transfer to the 58 bus.

From the Broad Street subway line, head to the Fern Rock station and then transfer to the 70 bus.

For those riding in on SEPTA commuter trains, take the R8 local to the Ryers station, then transfer to the 70 bus.

The Northeast Regional Library is located at 2228 Cottman Ave., about one-half mile northwest of Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard, and may be contacted at 215-685-0500.
